The Micromechanics Research Group in Department of Mechanics, School of Aerospace Engineering at BIT carries out fundamental research on establishing the qualitative relations between response and microstructure of heterogeneous materials (such as composites) under mechanical, thermal and electromagnetic loading. We also conduct the research on design for the materials with new function and their innovation in industrial applications. Our research is supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China
